Unofficial wrappers around large sites are convenient, but they depend on that site's terms and can break when it changes. For apps that sync user lists, use the official OAuth APIs from the list service itself.
Jikan is an unofficial MyAnimeList API with no key and CORS enabled, while MyAnimeList, AniList and Kitsu offer official APIs with OAuth for user data. MangaDex covers manga, Trace Moe finds the anime a screenshot came from, and Studio Ghibli lists films with no key.
